We were pleased to hear that the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) recognized the Reston Town Center Association (RTCA) for its successful launch of the linkRTC shuttle service. Wells + Associates extends our warm congratulations to the RTCA for this achievement.
The linkRTC shuttle service was launched in November 2022, coinciding with the opening of the Reston Town Center Metro Station. Free and open for all, linkRTC shuttles run every 10 minutes Monday-Friday, from 7 AM to 7 PM. The shuttle serves six stops in Reston Town Center, including the RTC Metro Station.
A group of individuals teamed up to create the shuttle system with the goal of offering secure, accessible, and dependable transportation in and around Reston Town Center. The Wells + Associates Mobility Management + TDM group collaborated with RTCA Executive Director Robert Goudie and Boston Properties (BXP) staff members, including Sapna Yathirag (Marketing Director) and CJ Overly (Senior Project Manager, Development), who were involved in evaluating and approving the shuttle branding and route.
We are thrilled that the COG recognized RTCA with such a selective and prestigious award at the 2023 Employer Services Organization Achievement Award ceremony at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, this summer. The award annually recognizes transportation demand management (TDM) innovators and leaders committed to reducing vehicle trips, and miles traveled while creating measurable and sustainable commuter benefits.
