Brant McKinney is a transportation planner/traffic engineer at Wells + Associates who specializes in multimodal transportation analyses, traffic impact analyses, and master planning projects in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. What made you interested in transportation?
I’ve always been an active person and loved being outside. As an avid advocate for sustainable transportation, I am deeply passionate about advancing micromobility solutions in our car-dependent society. With a keen eye on the evolving landscape of transportation, I am dedicated to promoting alternatives that not only reduce our carbon footprint but also offer convenience and accessibility. I believe that by creating developments that promote sustainable transportation, we create the first step in promoting more walkable areas and less reliance on vehicular travel.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
I’m a big fan of mountains and not too picky about destinations. If the weather is nice and there are pretty views, there’s a good chance it will become a “favorite” of mine.
