A Congressional tax deal was struck on December 17, 2015 that includes making permanent commuter benefit parity. Parity would be retroactively set to $250 per month for 2015 and would increase to $255 per month in 2016, making it equal to the parking benefit. This agreement, still not yet signed into law, would be big news for commuters.
