Wells + Associates was pleased to be part of a team that earned the American Planning Association’s National Capital Area Chapter Outstanding Tool award.
The APA’s National Capital Area Chapter announced the award this month as part of its biannual recognition of achievements in planning and public engagement in the region. The Outstanding Planning Tool was awarded for the Federal Workforce Scenario Plan that our team worked on in partnership with the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC), the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, The Schreifer Group, and HR&A Advisors.
The scenario planning approach provides a tool that agencies and regional jurisdictions can use to better understand federal workforce demographics, where federal workers live, transportation patterns, and the implications of telework policies across federal real estate. It will also help understand how these outcomes will affect cross-cutting issues such as equity and environmental sustainability.
